After a good period of being unnoticed by the design team, the Liquid Force Trip is back. A board that was one time considered the finest of the non pro models is back with a fresh profile and improved, yet just as brain scattering graphics.

The thing you will become aware of first is how the shape of the board has altered. A slimmer and super fast board has been overhauled with a slightly wider and just as quick version. The 2009 Trip has a continuous rocker much like its older version for smooth transitions and a crisp release off the wake. This board has a wider middle section too which adds to the pop factor of the board.

This board has a really skatey feeling to it when boarding on the flats. Once you get the Trip on edge though the twin molded side fins dig in for some tight cuts. Although these fins are amazing when you own them they can also own you. If they happen to snag the water at the wrong angle when coming down from a spin or sliding the board around, a much dreaded front edge is to be expected. Additionally the Liquid Force Trip has some subdued profile rails that run the length of the board and give it that extra control. This gives it that loose sensation with the on edge receptiveness.

You will notice that the rejuvenated Liquid Force Trip also sports the D.I.S.C hull which is used on numerous other Liquid Force boards. The Trip manages to be a wide, fast board because of the Double Inside Single Concave hull that displaces a lot of water reducing friction and making it float on top better. It also allows for especially soft landings when boosting into the flats.

Every one of these features are a sweet thing whilst on the lake. But everybody knows that what really makes this board hyped are the graphics. The 09 Liquid Force Trip has also certainly pulled out the stops in terms of visual design. For the wild, party hard rippers or just the psychedelic at heart the 2009 graphics will suite your style. The Liquid Force crew have also fashioned a toned down model of the graphics for the mellower types. The incredible talent of Drew Brophy helped provide this board it's intensely unique design. Drew produced a sick visual design on each board that in fact creates a complete design when all five boards are placed together. The end effect is a very psychedelic design that will blow your mind.

The 2009 Liquid Force Trip will suit most intermediate to advanced riders. But the newbies should be aware that if you let your guard down, this board will spank you. Mainly, the Liquid Force Trip 09 model is pretty solid. I just hope that Liquid Force doesn't forget about this board again any time quickly.
